I had been using the NewBingoBilly site for
a little over 3 months. Everything was going fine until it was time for the
company to cough up my prize money. My first 2 payments came through properly
even though they were delayed for a couple of days. The delay was blamed on a
computer glitch and I took their word for it because the support team were
prompt and came across as real professional. However after my third month,
everything changed and I began to realise that NewBingoBilly was a major
scam.
It might have had something to do with my
prize money which was the highest ever. I won big in one of the tournaments and
my earnings stood at $7000. That was even higher than my monthly salary and I
couldn’t wait to get my hands on the money. But then again, it was the same
computer glitch and I couldn’t make the software to release my payment. I then
called customer care to make NewBingoBilly
complaints. The agent on the other hand, was sympathetic to my cause and
promised quick action. I took his word for it since these people were thorough
and my past experiences with them were positive. However this time, a couple of
days later, I still could not withdraw my money.
I called the office
again to get the status on my NewBingoBilly complaint and the agent said that
the servers were going through a major upgrade and that was the only reason for
the delay. I knew immediately that the upgrade reason was complete nonsense and
the company was simply trying to buy time even though I wasn’t sure why.
It became clear with
the next sentence he uttered. Instead of releasing my payment, he recommended
that I reuse the money to play more games on the site. I could feel the rage
building up in side me and I subconsciously knew I had just become a victim of
an online scam. I still wanted to be a little patient which today I think was
naïve. But back then I was desperate to see the money and I decided to play
nice with the frauds at NewBingoBilly. I had already planned a vacation with my
family at the end of the month and just did not want to go back on the
promise. In the end, I did not get the
money nor could we go on our vacation.
I filed many NewBingoBilly
complaints with support staff and they completely stopped responding after a
certain point. Some of the agents were even rude and started laughing at me
when I raised my voice at them. They even abused me and said my money was gone
and that I should stop wasting my time and money in trying to contact them.
After a couple months, I eventually gave up but the experience has nevertheless
made me wiser about online companies in general.
